Take a "Sick" Day

As I write this message I'm not feeling too well. I don't get sick very often, but when I woke up this morning I knew it was one of those days I just needed to go back to bed and sleep. So that's what I did ... sleep. As the day slipped by, I realized that some days we just need to take a break and step away from our busy, go-go schedule. It's easy to get caught up in all the items on our "to do" list. Taking a break allows us to clear our mind and renew our focus and perspective.

You realize that if a day goes by and you don't get everything on your "to do" list done, the world doesn't end. And there's comfort in that. Especially for us busy entrepreneurs who are raging toward success. Often it feels like we just can't get there fast enough!

I encourage you to take some time in the near future to step back and take a break. Take a short vacation, or just play for a day. Or, even take a "sick" day and just relax (hopefully yours will be by choice!). I'll bet you'll see things differently when you come back and maybe even have a clearer focus for your business.
