Weekly Marketing Success Podcast:

"Interview with Rich Sloan of StartUpNation”

Rich Sloan (he's the one on the right), and his brother Jeff, are what you might call "serial entrepreneurs." They are the founders of StartUpNation, a company that supports entrepreneurs with both information and inspiration through a variety of media outlets including a website, a book, a syndicated radio show and live events. Jeff and Rich teach small business owners strategies that work in the real-world, based on their own experience starting a number of successful businesses. They've done everything from buying and selling HUD homes as teenagers, to inventing the Battery Buddy, to breeding Arabian horses and operating a venture capital firm. Proving one thing ... that if you have a system for building a successful business, you can replicate it in any industry.

I caught up with Rich right after StartUpNation was featured on the cover of the "Costco Connection" Magazine and he shared some tips for marketing on a shoestring budget and for creating and sustaining a successful small business. Oh yeah ... he also said something about finding an oak tree (great advice, just listen to find out what the heck he's talking about!)
